Consistency is my marketing secret, including my weekly advertising, blogging, and radio show.
Since I build my listing inventory at the end of the year, I have been having an excellent December and January. But I need to be careful not to run out of inventory.
To remain in the Real Estate business, you need to be consistent year-round with a steady flow of homes to buy or to sell.
Even though mainly a listing agent, there are times when clients want me to find them a unique home. No door knocking, no cold calling, but there are other ways, like advertising for buyers on my blog, radio show, print media, and website.
Each week I run this type of marketing piece.
It has my listings, recent sales, too-late under contract, and a list of homes I have ready buyers.
Print advertising, word of mouth, radio shows, blogging, face-to-face networking, repeat clients, unique business cards, and a catchy logo like 'Sell Your Home With Margaret Rome' does not happen overnight.

Advertising is for future business, not "right now" business.
It is our job to remind them we are in business. It is not their job to remember.
