Despite a shifting and softening market in the latter part of 2022, the housing market in Matthews was strong with a list to sale price ratio of over 100% and days on market of only two weeks.

Brightmoor remained a "hot" selling neighborhood in Matthews with 29 home sales in 2022 at an average home sale price of $443,577. Since 2020, average home sale prices in Brightmoor have increased approximately $132,000. 2022 home sale prices in Brightmoor ranged from a low of $340,000 to a high of $531,000. Sellers received a median 102.2% of listing price in final sale price in 2022. Average days increased to 16 days year-over-year, but median days on market remained very low at just three days.
