It is, Anna, and tonight I watched from my kitchen window since I was cooking dinner. The launch went off without a hitch, right on time and the double sonic booms were right on schedule 8 minutes later. Seeing a launch live and in person should be on everyone's bucket list!

Hi Trish, it never gets old and launch day is always a big event here on the Space Coast.

Hi Joan, it takes some planning to be here to see a launch, especially since sometimes they are delayed or scrubbed due to weather or technical issues. This year there are supposed to be more launches than ever before, about 2 a week so the chances of seeing one are much better. I love to watch the launches up close in person but when that isn't possible, the view from the kitchen window works well.

Thanks, Myrl. We get some gorgeous sunsets especially in the cooler months and that photo is one of my favorites. When we bought our condo we did not realize that we could view the launches from the kitchen so that was an added bonus. Launch day is crazy here, I have stopped in the middle of a showing so the clients could watch the launch and people pull off the road if they can't get to a good vantage spot. I think we have rocket fever!

Endre, I got away from posting the launches and what better way to get back to it than with the Falcon Heavy launch. I have been following the weather in Cali and can't believe what I hear. I hope all is well with you and Diane and she is surviving the cold temperatures. :)

Brian, you are correct. I heard something that 61 rockets were launched from here last year, not sure if all were SpaceX though. This year I think Elon is planning 100 launches so about 2x/wk. He has made the Space Coast world famous!

Ray, there is no way to describe viewing a launch in person, it really has to be seen to be appreciated and makes you feel so small in the universe. It's a great bucket list item to see a launch up close and in person.

Endre, 45* here currently and the past three nights have been around 40*. We are supposed to start warming up tomorrow.

Endre, what on earth were you doing awake at 7:30 and speaking sentences? Your gardener had the right idea, though, and cold is relative, the wind is what makes it really unbearable. Have you warmed up yet?
