A 5th on the 3rd for the 4th

Purple flower We have used numbers before in posts here - my favorite number 944, 10,000 members, 100,000 points, and so forth. Seems as if today numbers are everywhere I look. This photo of a flower with six petals was taken at 5 Wake Forest Court Catonsville, Maryland 21228.

Since I met Marti Garaughty, "The Art of Marketing You" expert, I always am aware of marketing. So today these two come together - numbers and marketing - with a bit of holiday spririt thrown in. Wouldn't this be an ideal day to own a liquor store, and put up a huge banner out front that read:

My mom used to say this, and today I smiled when I remembered her and this silly saying. Oh how I would love to own or be the marketing person for a package or liquor store today! July 4 Eagle

Margaret my dear I love that line... a 5th of the 3rd for the 4th. Your mom was a marketing natural, both clever and very easy to remember. I hope you and your hubby have a great 4th of July! In Canada we had our fireworks & concerts of the 1st of July(Canada Day) so we celebrated a little bit early. ;-)

What a great slogan for a liquor store! Your mom is one smart cookie! Isn't Marti Garaughty the best? She helped with my my banner for my AR 'inside' and 'outside' blogs! Exactly what AR is all about!

Marti, Maybe I should have titled this post "Mom was a Marketing Genius!" Maybe I will change it later. Hope you enjoyed your July 1st celebration.

Sally, Glad you like Mom's catchy phrase. Every year, when someone wishes me a Happy 4th, I remember Mom and her saying. This year I am glad I shared it with everyone!

Mary, My mom was a very smart cookie and Marti is also. He is the absolute best. Mom gave so much to others and so does Marti. Happy 4th to you!

Margaret, a catchy slogan indeed. I'll forego the 5th for today and just celebrate the 4th sober.

Brian, Catchy title if you are into selling " fifths" of anything. Here's to a sober and very safe, fun filled day of remembrance . Happy belated birthday on the 2nd!

Kathy, My 4th and 5th have been good days. Just had a delightful party with good friends, good food and good colorful fireworks.
