Due to the Holiday weekend this weeks Website Review Friday is being done on Thursday. I hope you and your family and friends have a wonderful Fourth of July / Independence Day holiday weekend.
Last
week I reviewed http://www.orangecounty.net which in 2007 had received five million visitors and 120,000 visitors to their real estate specific page. To be listed on this website I mentioned that you'd have to invest $299.00 a year for both a text and image link.
Today I want to discuss a method of picking up a FREE link from this website that I discovered through out the week. In fact not only one free link but if you play your cards right you can pick up a free link each and every week if wanted.
To get a link on http://www.OrangeCounty.net/html/real.html you'll have to invest the $299.00. However if you look at this page you'll see a category titled, "Featured Articles". Each article is a contribution by industry professionals in Orange County and even more important each article contributed gets a link towards the top of the article and one or two at the bottom of the article. Here are just a few examples:
http://www.orangecounty.net/html/real-article10.html
http://www.orangecounty.net/html/living_article1.html
http://www.orangecounty.net/html/biz_articles11.html
Your contribution to this site gets added to a brand new page that has never before been indexed by Google. Starting off you'll not get much link love out of the arrangement but you should pick up several visitors since the articles are added to this sites ever so popular Orange County real estate page.
Contributing is easily done. All you need to do is find out what guidelines they have in place before writing and ten submit the article to them. If you contact me I'll be happy to provide you with the direct persons contact information.
Note: I find a few dozen sites each month to review. However you as the Realtors are the ones who receive all the solicitations from many website owners. Because of this I am inviting anyone curious about a website to send me the website address and any questions you might have. I won't be able to review all links publicly due to only so many Fridays in a year but I will at least review privately and provide information I dig up on the site itself.
My Very Warmest Regards,
John F. Jones III
Do I need to pay $299 to submit an article?
