Celebrate the 4th in Edmond , Oklahoma

There will be lots of festivities on the 4^th of July in Edmond .  So come celebrate with your family and friends.  

The fun starts on July 3^rd with "Chalk it Up for Liberty Fest."  Enjoy a dunk tank, face painting, live karaoke and more while you draw your masterpiece of chalk art.  Be at the Festival Market Place at 10:00am.  Registration is free and required to compete in the chalk drawing contest.

Here are the July 4^th 2008 events:

• 4^th of July Team Roping at the Lazy E Arena
• Shortt Dogg Blues & Soul at the UCO Jazz Lab.  Come enjoy food and drinks from Hideaway Pizza.  Fun starts at 8pm.
• Liberty Fest Parade at 8:45am in Downtown Edmond .  Come early for a good seat.  Over 50,000 people come to see the parade each year as it takes its 1.5 mile journey.  This is the greatest Independence Day parade in Edmond .
• Park Fest UCO at UCO Campus - Broncho Lake from 5-10pm.  A celebration of Independence Day with fun and games, food, drinks, music, festive activities and an awesome fireworks display.  Bring you lawn chairs or blankets and get ready for a whole day of fun.
• Liberty Fest Fireworks at 10pm on the UCO Campus.  An awesome display of fireworks your family will never forget.  This is the Grand Finale to the day's festivities.  This fireworks display is the largest in the metro area.
