How Can We Keep Working With A Pandemic?
I like to look back over blog posts that I have bookmarked through the years here in the rain - and I saw this one this morning. It's nearly 3 years since the pandemic first began to dance at the edge of our consciousness. I remember how the world shut down on March 13 - just as my daughter flew to Siesta Key with a small suitcase to spend a few days with a friend and his family - she stayed 6 months! and now she is marrying him in November!
So very much was unknown back then. Obviously we weren't sure what the virus was or where it was coming from - but more importantly - we weren't sure how it was going to affect all of us professionally and personally.
For those of us still standing, we have survived. I think it is a testament to our ability to adapt that has kept us working and generally thriving. There are always bad days, bad weeks and perhaps even a bad month or two - but we know that we can adapt and thrive. That is a helpful message to take with us as the press bombards us with gloom and doom. COVID was not WWII in London during the blitz, but it was a challenge and we are stronger for it when we stop to recognize that we made it through some dark months. Yes - what doesn't kill you makes you stronger - and COVID is a good example of that.
Have a great week
The Oregon Association of Realtors is Posting Ideas
I was asked last Wednesday to produce a video of how we can keep working during the Covid-19 pandemic. This was broadcast to all the agents in Oregon this morning. When we are dealing with challenging times, we have to adapt and be flexible in order to keep working. I am honored that I was asked to do this and hope it provides ideas to others dealing with unprecedented times.
