My University of Louisville daughter is struggling to find her first apartment!

My daughter, a full time student at the University of Louisville, has been struggling to find her first apartment before school starts late August! This morning she said, "Mom, I need to schedule a couple of days with a realtor like you to show us some apartments!" As I was explaining to her that most realtors focus on selling residential houses and not rentals, especially in college communities, you could feel her disappointment.

So here I am, reaching out to my active rain community of realtors in Louisville, for your help. Do you have any suggestions other than roomates.com, apartments.com and craigslist? My daughter is very responsible (her goal is to be a teacher, she is a manager at the Cinemark in Tinseltown). Maybe you know a homeowner who is open to having a housesitter? or maybe you know an investor with apartments?

Any ideas would be appreciated!

You found an apartment for your son in Baltimore. I am sure you will find a place for your daughter in Louisville. Good luck. Keep us posted. Maybe there is a place on AR to help other members find housing for their family. If not you might consider starting a group.

I thought it was pretty cute when she came in my office asking me to schedule her with a realtor for a couple of days to apartment hunt!

Yes, we are using all the same avenues we did for my son!
