Lake Jocassee received an additional 63 acres along the tip of one of it's peninsula's. The Greenville South Carolina Real Estate was sold at a bargain price from Crescent Resources to the state Department of Natural Resources. The addition will keep the lake shore free from development heading into the future. Lake Jocassee if you have not seen it is a rare mountain lake with little or no development on its shores. The water is crystal clear and cold as the summer days are long. (Although with the drought I hear the water levels have dropped dramatically). Lake Jocassee has 33,000 acres of wildlife management area around the lake, which was acquired in 1998 & 1999.
