29 Palms is a city nestled in the heart of the Mojave Desert about an hour north and east of Palm Springs, surrounding the southern edge of the 29 Palms Marine Corps base.
I’ve been helping families buy, sell and rent homes in 29 Palms since I retired out of the Marine Corps from the 29 Palms base. And aside from the new attention it’s getting, economic projections even ten years ago included growth through this area – 29 Palms, Joshua Tree to the west and Yucca Valley to the west of there – by 8000 homes just based on the need in California for affordable homes, and homes in 29 Palms are more affordable than those in the cities that get nearer to Palm Springs.
