In this day and age where our leaders do not want to Pledge of Allegiance or wear lapel pins of our flag, I am proud to be an American. In the United States I would say we are the most diverse groups of people in any one country. In a world of about 6 billion people, the US make up only about 5% of the total population. In World War II, the citizens gave money as well as man power to help others in need.

So many have risk all to migrate to this country. My mother and father are no different. To come to a foreign land just to try to live a better life is remarkable in its own right. They got what they were looking for ~ freedom. My story is only one and there so many more, just like it.

I have and will stand up and say

GOD BLESS AMERICA

and Support our Troops!

Hey, have a hot dog on me. Have not been around as much lately as business has been great. My son who lives in Destrehan has another set of twins on the way any day in July. The others are just 3 so it will be exciting. Better get ready for the next shower?

Great post and I agree. I was on the phone today as an American talking to all of my US Senators, and Congressional Representative and voicing my displeaseure with the way things are going at the old country club in DC. There are no major indictments for the all of the major loan fraud, there is no one asking Schumer be censured for his letter that caused a run on hte banks, and no one is calling for an investigation into Sen. Chris Dodd receiving a mortgage from Mazzulo (Countrywide). It is sort of like the parole board all getting a big Cadillac just before the hearing. I am proud to be an American, but not proud of the good old boys in DC...while they bail out losers like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac so they can start it all over again!

Great Post. Nothing angers me more than young students not staning up and saying the Pledge of Alleigence in school. It makes me sick to my stomach that American poeple can vote for someone for President that won't swear in on the Bible, wear The american Flag on their suit or even say the Pledge themsleves... IF you don't like it get out of our country.. Their are many men and women who did for those who want and love to be here. Thanks again for the post...
