Don't shut me down yet...

This was a recent attempt from a large Credit Union, which I am a member of, to get folks to use them for the financing part of Real Estate.  What astounds me is that the "**********" contained in the ad that was described below.  (the first asterisks on this blog)

I understand that people are trying to get business anywhere they can.  But what ever happened to making the deal on their end the best it can be.  Doing that without attacking someone else's lively hood?

Am I off base with this one???

What If I said, "use us to purchase a home and you can get a .25% reduction in rate from your lender."  Then I could also say at 0 points.  Or even tell our clients that if you use our lender, you will get back 25% of his commission..  What about service, negotiation ability, reputation, seasoning, history, commendations, what about being good at something?

Please help me out with this, I am in a quandry and confused...

(this is what it said below the ad, really small all the way at the bottom)
*When the transaction amount is less than $100,000, no rebate will be paid. Rebates are not available in all states. +The annual percentage rate may increase or decrease during the term of the agreement. ++Variable 5.75% APR effective June 5, 2008 and is subject to change without notice. The rate cap is 16%. Additional terms and conditions may apply. The APR may increase during the term of the agreement. Home owner's insurance is required on property.

This is only honored when and If I have gone a week without eating any beef products.  This deal applies on all days except on the odd days of the month, or days that start with either the letter T, S, W, M or F.  "Can't wait to help you into trying on some of this pain..."

We had a client who's credit union required a 25% referral.  Wish they would have done some work for that pay!

For the record, I love your hair do!  My husband has the same and I think it is very flattering on both of you.
