This Week…Time Lost

 

Here we go again. Spring it forward!  So from what I’m told, we’re losing one hour. OK, but if I get up at 6 am, for example, is it really 5 or 7? 

 

 

 The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once. Albert Einstein



What happens to that lost hour?

Another question…you know the TV guides that tell you what’s going to be on and when?  Well…does one program that’s supposed to come on at 2 AM Sunday just disappear??

It’s Saturday so you still have some time to do something with that hour you’re about to lose! Don’t waste it!




Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use.

PS…Don’t forget to turn your clocks forward Saturday night…should you still have any appliances that still need the human touch.

Good morning, Kathy... so you just had to go and remind me about DST, did you? I hate, hate, hate DST and am dreading tomorrow morning and all the mornings after that will now be dark. :) Let's face it, we're not saving any daylight... we are just moving it to later in the day. I prefer my daylight in the morning, but no one seems to be  listening.

I sure do like the longer daylight in the evenings, but my Huckleberry Hound doesn't adjust for the time and wants his walk on his internal clock.

Kathy, I like this Albert Einstein's quote, as I do many of his others. One year we had an appointment with a client and they didn't change their clocks, so didn't show up. Tomorrow we have a couple of appointments. Let them be on time!

No wonder I have so many hang ups about time.  The music that helped form my young mind made me neurotic.  At least I no longer have to worry about losing one hour.  I live in AZ now!  😂

Good morning Kathy,

I also set my clocks on Saturday night before I go to bed. The time change never bothers me and its so nice to have more time in the evening where it is light out! I'm a morning person so having it dark does not bother me..its quiet and I can watch the sunrise!

We're not loosing time here in AZ as we don't change.  I will however to be glad that the rest of the states that change time zones are going back to where I wish they'd stay.  I enjoy watching a business show that's on early in NY and now it will be on early again.  Yeah!

Hi Kathy Streib - I am with Anna Banana Kruchten Phoenix Broker on this.  Though our time does not change, a lot of other things change.  We don't follow the herd, so while we are with Colorado today, tomorrow we will be with California and Colorado will be 1 hour ahead.  So, every time the time changes AZ has to recalibrate.  

I am all for doing this just one more time and keeping it like that.
