Planting Now for a Future Harvest

I met with my team of agents today for our monthly meeting. Our main focus was on marketing in order to reap a future harvest. As we know from nature, those who plant seeds, nurture the seeds, and do the work, will reap the harvest at the end of the season. We can certainly learn a lot when we pay attention to the natural world.

In real estate, many agents are still slumbering from their winter sleep. Suddenly they find it is Spring and they recognize they are not seeing any new leads. How did this happen and what can they do to make some needed changes right now?

As a real estate professional, here is what you need to plant today in order to reap a future harvest:

🌿 Plan your garden! Any gardener knows one of the first things you do before the growing season begins, is to plan their garden. What seeds will you need? Tools and equipment needed?

In real estate, this means seeking out the method and marketing plan you will use to seek out new business and leads. What tools of the trade will help you achieve

🌿 Till and prepare the soil. Without rich, healthy soil, a garden doesn't stand much of a chance. Tender, new growth needs the right nutrients, sunlight, warmth, and water in order to thrive.

As a real estate professional, you need to prepare for your market. Do you understand what is happening in your local market? Do you have a plan that will provide the needed essentials in order to pull off a marketing push?

🌿 Do the work! All gardeners understand the hard work that goes into reaping a future harvest. Setbacks can and will happen. Weather, insects, and disease can wreak havoc on a garden and wipe it out quickly. Therefore, a good gardener will keep a keen eye on his garden in order to avoid disasters.

Real estate agents must be ready to get down in the dirt and work hard. Those agents who are still in hibernation mode will not be getting the worm. The agents who have their plan, are in preparation mode, and are ready to do the work, will more than likely succeed.

Are you in preparation mode in order to reap a future harvest? Your reward of a harvest is within your reach when you decide to get serious about your business. It won't happen passively, so determine today to plant your seeds and start watching your business grow!

One of the things I love about evergreen posts, they come back year after year with only minor upkeep needed.  Want to grow?  Plant more information that is relevant to consumers.  You've got solid advice for anyone that wants to keep their pipeline supplied.

Anyone who banks on clients coming to them without planting any seeds is likely to go hungry. It does take work!  There is no easy pill or easy button in this business.

When we think about it, running a successful business is very much like planting and cultivating a successful garden.
