A Radio Announcement Makes this a Thankful Thursday.

KHRT, the Christian radio station that I used to work at (and still do on occasion) announced that their Spring Sharathon will be in two weeks.

The Sharathon is kind of like the PBS fundraisers that ask you to support the station. Frankly they could not continue to share the Good News without listener support.

During the days of the Sharathon I will be their answering the phone as well as being on the air to help out (not both at the same time).

they are definitely lucky to have you on the phones - I am sure you will get the donors really excited to give even more!

I wonder if they follow the same format as KLove does?  They are always giving away big prizes during their pledge drive.

Thank you Lise Howe , it is truly a labor of love for me as I feel like I owe my life of Christ to them. Long story so maybe I will make a post of it next Thursday.

Brian England believe it or not it may be the other way around. KHRT is celebrating 50 years of broadcasting and they have been doing sharathons for at least 45 of those years. Another believe it or not is that KLove once was out of Minot ND. They did start in CA but they were given one of Minot's largest buildings as a donation to them. They left CA and moved to Minot in their new building. I listened to KLove before they moved here and never heard them do a fundraiser like this until they had been in Minot a couple of years.

The building given them was way to large for their needs and they had trouble finding renters so they sold this marvelous building for just $250,000. and moved back to CA.
