Downtown Raleigh, NC is a wonderful mixture of the old and the new. Skyscrapers are visible behind centuries old stone churches.
And the transportation options are just as varied - anything from "Raleigh Rickshaws" to horse drawn carriages and wagons.
Visitors can enjoy a ride in a plush seat in the gleaming white carriage from J&L Carriage, LLC.

The carriages pick up passengers at Edenton St. between the State Capitol and the North Carolina Museum of History from Sat-Sun (12 noon-5 pm) and from the intersection of Hargett St. and Fayetteville St. from Fri-Sat (6 pm-11 pm).

These bicycles are built for carrying passengers swiftly through the streets of downtown Raleigh, and are so popular that the service keeps expanding.
There are now at least 16 rickshaws operating 7 days a week, whizzing passengers past the State Capital, or from one hot nightspot to the next.
