Kerrville has the greatest place to have a Fourth of July celebration. The banks of the Guadalupe River at Louise Hays Park is the perfect setting. Families come and spend the day picnicing and swimming and playing football or frisbee. There are numerous bands that play during the day providing lots of different kinds of music. There are food booths, and all kinds of vendors selling different things. The park has playground equipment, volley ball, and basketball, even horseshoe pits. Take a leisurely stroll across the bridge and go visit the library and come back and sit on the river bank with a good book. There is something for everyone to do on this day.
The big finale comes about 9 PM when the sky gets dark. It's what everyone has been waiting on. The most fabulous fireworks display. Kerrville does not hold back with this display. It is the best one I have ever been to and this is our regular Fourth of July destination now. We've been many other places but this is the best. This is one of the perks of small town living.
Kerrville is a great place to live. Come let me show you "Paradise".
