Today my wife Stephanie and I took a walk over the Ben Franklin Bridge.  The Ben Franklin bridge connects Philadelphia (Old City) and New Jersey (Camden).    It is a beautiful structure.

This is our second walk over the Bridge in the last couple of weeks.  What is weird is that as I have aged, I have developed a fear of heights.  From being reckless and an adrenaline junky when I was younger, I am now somewhat of a fuddy-duddy I guess.  I went from skydiving and driving way over the speed limit and not wearing a seat belt to being terrfied to walk over a bridge, rarely driving over the speed limit and ALWAYS wearing my seat belt.

The last time I took a walk I had to hold Stephanie's hand the whole way and almost did not make it wanting to turn around.  Today was less fearful... but both times were exhilarating.  The views of both river fronts (especially Philadelphia's !!!) are quite stunning.  Also seeing that there is soooo much opportunity on the Philadelphia waterfront is also exciting and frustrating as the city has been so slow with that (but that subject will be saved for another post - not sure where to begin with that one).

I guess the point is, overcoming fears can lead to positive outcomes.

How many times are we afraid to ask for the business ?

Or scared to make that follow-up call ?

Or fearful to ask if someone is ready to make a decision ?

I guess the answer is why ???  The results can be exhilirating !

Even when things don't go our way, we are putting out the effort and the positive energy !  I believe with good karma, good things happens.
