Alas, you need more square footage and you convert the garage.......better think twice about that if you are seeking to sell your home in the near future.....at the very least make it extremely easy to convert back....

Having a garage is a biggie for most buyers......some it does not matter.....

Before converting your garage check out what values are going on in your neighborhood , weigh it against the possibility you may have to sell in the near future and the benefits it provides for you now.

I would say 95% buyers I show homes will not even consider viewing a home without a garage.

For the contractor handy buyer it is a mute issue....can easily be restored back to garage.

For the average buyer with no contractor or construction experience it is another expense they need to factor in when purchasing a home.

I have one of these houses now and the seller can't figure out why everything around them that has garages are selling and theirs isn't.
