Hey everybody,

Just wanted to say again how important it is for everyone you know to know you are a realtor.

I have set up a database and put in everyone I know and their email and mailing addresses and phone numbers. I make a point to call my friends and family weekly and remind them what I do.

I just sold a home to my daughters soccer coach and I have just listed my neighbors daughters home.

Just from telling people what I do.

Good luck and keep on lead generating.

Good job. Your database should be the main course of your business and the activities in that database on your basic daily schedule. Keep it up.

You are right, letting everyone know in the neighborhood or in social functions is the best way to prospect.  Good for you that you got business from your local area and neighboor

What do you use for a database platform? I would like to try something new

Thanks Zachary,Andy and Trey for the kind words.

Katharine, as far as my database is concerned I use my Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Business Manager. It is inexpensive and gets the job done. I hope this helps you.

I don't know what platform you use already but I find it easiest to use one you are familiar with and add to it.

A database is only good if you keep adding to it daily and use it daily.

Out of sight sometimes means out of mind.

Good luck.

Sports teams are great way to find the general public with their guard down. Parents talk to each other in a relaxed condition, as long as they are on the same team!

Thanks Jeffrey, good luck to you as well.

Katharine, I use only one database. Outlook 2007.Its simple and easy.

James, you are right but not because there guard is down, but because you have built up trust and respect. They see how you and your family interact and how you treat others and thats how I got my listings and my sales. You are right about being on the same team, I have only gotten business from my teams because of the relationships I have made with families on our team. The other teams are usually off base unless you just know someone. Being honest and forthright about what you do for a living is amazingly helpful to others.

You gotta genuinly want to help people or they will bolt. They can smell a  slick salesman a mile away.

Thats my goal is to help people get what they want and need and in turn I get what I want and need.

We are all in this together.

Hope you have a great week.
