This Week's Cool Marketing Application

By

I wanted to start sharing with fellow agents some of my favorite things I continue to come across in the "outside of real estate" world that apply well into the real estate marketing world.  This will be the first entry.  Expect many more in the future.

My recent favorite application is dimdim.com.  Prior to its release, Adobe offered a web conferencing infrastructure that was amazing however it was quite pricey to use.  Dimdim allows you to set up a web conference presentation absolutely for free, and it's pretty doggone easy to use.  You can upload powerpoint presentation, mark them up, chat, interact and a host of other actions.

APPLICATIONS FOR REAL ESTATE:

1.  Invite an out-of-town, absentee owner into an interactive listing presentation.

2.  Invite an out-of-town buyer into a pre-visit counseling presentation.

3.  Work with a buyer or seller across town who simply can't break away for a listing or buyer presentation.

4.  Invite referral friends from across the nation and your own area to meet once or twice a year to chat and share ideas in a interactive working platform.

5.  Host a state organization meeting when geography and gas prices are a challenge.

6.  Have weekly mentor/mentee meetings.

7.  Host past client home improvement seminars on-line.

8.  Host investor 1031 tax exchange seminars with current and potential investors.  Have a 1031 agent host the meeting.

9.  Host a neighborhood brainstorming meeting for the neighborhood association to join in and "meet-up."

10. Host an exclusive agent meeting where you upload photos of listing and discuss in the interactive format.

Step outside of you borders and try one of the above.  Let me know how it goes!

All the best!

What a good suggestion!  I hadn't thought of using a web conferencing platform for a client. We are always using them for training, so why am I so slow?  (rhetorical question, no need to answer!)
