Have you heard the news???
Frisco Parks and Recreation has released the lay-out to GRAND PARK, which will be located between Cotton Gin and Stonebrook, East of the DNT. The park has been described as being similar to Central Park in New York.
According to the Director of Parks and Recreation, Rick Wieland, 'the city will grow into this park over the next number of years and things will adjust accordingly.' A lot of the plans right now, at least on the West and North of the park, are conceptual at this point. Documents have been submitted to the USAC of Engineers to gain permission to construct the lakes. It is said that 'this process can take between 12 and 24 months' to get final approval. Once all permissions have been granted, Parks and Recreation will be able to firm up the dates.
For now, take a look at the plans -http://www.friscotexas.gov/uploadedFiles/Departments/Parks_Recreation/GrandPark_ MP.pdf

This is awesome. What a great looking plan.
I have not seen the Central park in NY but I have heard a lot about it. This is going to be one of the best site seeing location for the DFW.
I guess all the properties near the park will get a very good appraisal after teh aprk is built. It is so nice to live in place where we can just walk to this great park.
It will attract even more businesses and people.
