Canada's www.mls.ca has changed to www.realtor.ca
On July 2, 2008 the New REALTOR.ca was launched, consumers will find New interactive mapping and search Criteria.
The Existing National Consumer MLS site www.mls.ca will remain in effect and then forward to www.realtor.ca
There were an Average of Nearly 3 Million Unique Visitors a month to mls.ca throughout 2007!.
"80% of CREA members say www.mls.cawas their primary marketing tool for their MLS listings."
The New mapping technology will be interactive from Microsoft Virtual Earth and .Visitors will still be able to view MLS listings across the country and by using the interactive mapping, select the specific area or neighborhood they are interested in.

Fred, I hope the new site works well for everyone. I was recently on our Long Island site and was shocked by some of the photos that were put up. But I've seen your homes, they are just beautiful.
Hi Carole...we're all excited with out new MLS system from Tarasoft, these people are so creative, plus our board computer staff can do improvement in house as we see fit. I'mon our MLS computer committee and I am really enjoying watching all of this finally happen....good stuff for Realtors and their clients!
Cheers Carole, thanks for visiting again!
Fred - I checked it out the new site and found the new mapping technology did not display my listings in the correct location, which likely means I have some reading to do to find out if it is the way the listings were submitted or if it is the way the program locates them ... all in all it offers more that the old site but seems to download info a little slower ... sometimes new technology is not suited for all markets especially one like ours were a very large number of users are still on dial up.
Hi Kathy...Personally I seldom go to the consumer side, How about emailing CREA and or your Board, you may have some valid points to address, www.realtor.ca web site is still fairly new.
Cheers, thanks for visiting
Fred - we deep link to mls.ca so we often check to make sure it still works properly as for realtor.ca I thought I would let them work out any bugs first.
Hi Kathy....Thanks for your input, I agree lets let them workout the bugs, it might be helpfull if you let CREA know about any Glitches.
Cheers, have a great day!
I always have a very hard time finding my listings too... and Kathy is right. I think it is a lot harder to find listings on the consumer side, and hopefully this is something that will be addressed! Most often, i get so frustrated that i have to ask the agent to send the link to me!!
Hi Donata..I agree, although I seldom go there myself, many Buyers and Sellers come to me through my Blogging here in the Rain with Goggle giving me good spots with the Goggle Juice AR gives us..Keep Blogging in the Rain!

Fred, i will take your advice and hope that will work for me as well!!! Since a few months have passed and no major improvements have taken place, we shall start relying on something else!
Thanks!!
