Seasons Greetings!

Tis the season! Not that season…hurricane season.

Hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th but peaks around September 10th. Are you and your family prepared? Do you have a plan that explains what to do and where to meet if your family is separated? Are your children aware of this plan and can properly execute it? Is there a hurricane kit readily available? Do you even know what goes into such a kit? And how about your home or business, do you know how to protect it during a hurricane? Do you have flood insurance?

On July 8th at 7:30 pm, the Barefoot Community Church at 701 Main Street, North Myrtle Beach South Carolina will host a free hurricane preparedness event. This event is open to home and business owners alike. This is a great opportunity for you to learn how to protect your family, self, and property in the event of a hurricane. Hope to see you there.

Contact Southern Coast for details about this event and how to protect your Myrtle Beach real estate and oceanfront real estate.

Thanks for the reminder. I always wait till the very last minute. . .

Maybe this year I should be a little more prepared, but here in St. Pete we haven't had a problem for the longest time

Adam, after Hurricane Katrina we have learned to be prepared this time of year. Backup your computers, make files of all your important papers and leave before the word goes out. A good indication is if the insurance companies will not write coverage, keep up with the weather and run to higher ground.

We don't worry much about hurricanes here on the west coast.  Earthquakes are our fear, but, at least we don't have a season each year for them.

Good Morning Adam  -  luckily we are a few hours from the coast - - - but we are ready, since Aiken is on the hurricane evacuation route for the Low Country.

Great topic at the church tonight!
