Back in the middle of June, I wrote a post asking for help getting a tripod for my flip video unit. I got several responses and lots of good advice.

Well, I finally "built" me a simple adaptor for my new Targus tripod and flip video unit.

When I purchased the flip, I had no idea it was a "point and shoot model" not made for a tripod. well, we have that problem licked by spending about  $5 and a little time in my brothers metal shop.supplies to fix tripodflip mounted on tripod

I've been thinking about getting the flip video.  How do you like it?  Do you recommend it?

Debi,

I love my flip! Chances are the new one you buy will have the pre-drilled tripod hole in the bottom.

When you get a chance, look at the videos I shot with my flip on our fourth of July vacation.

Mike, some say holding a camera in the crook of your bent arm steadies it like a tripod. Just a thought.

Gary,

I imagine that would steady the video camera some. Others have mentioned a piece of string tied to video unit and secured by your foot!

You are just the multi talented guy Mike, I knew you'd figure out a way to get that camera on a tripod!  :-)
