I had to try it - use the new magic marketing words Kathy blogged about in Beyond Niche Marketing.

Although I'm doing it for fun and may have slightly overdone the whole thing in my title, the fact is you can work trendy popular keywords into your marketing message if you get creative.

It's a fun exercise and will get you thinking outside the box. It can also bring more attention and traffic to your site.

Okay, I promised it and I will deliver - my FREE secret green cure to lose fat and get rich: stop eating so much, start getting some exercise by walking instead of driving, and put the money you save on food and gas into a savings account.

Don't know if you've heard or not, Kay, but the greenies are actually helping produce "insect" cooking instructional programs for when we are all weened off meat, especially beef (#1 producer of methane gas in the world).  I like your idea a whole lot better.  AND thanks for the magic marketing words reference.  Hadn't seen that post.

Thanks for sharing the SECRET CURE to making some GREEN in this market.  I wonder if a more media savvy or cynical generation ( x and y) will see through these words or if there is something subconcious about words like these that grab our attention.

These buzzwords can backfire.  Any time I see something touted with "secrets" or "tips and tricks" I roll my eyes and turn the page/click away.  Maybe it's because (according to Geordie above) I'm part of a cynical generation?

I don't think it's cynicism to be annoyed by advertising hype.  Some of us were just never bandwagon types and don't care for attempts to push us in a direction we didn't choose to go in the first place.

As long as we can replace the words POP and WOW -- I'm happy!  My husband groans everytime he hears these buzzwords!

Kay, Very cute, thanks:)  It is so nice to read a pleasant and thoughtful post.  I did read that blog and yes, changed my ads, immediately.  It just makes sense.

It's a Good Life!

Great article on words.  I am going to try something like the Secret Cure for lagging Housing market and Your chance for  Fat Equity in Your Home.  And then blog from there...
