How is your "Bedside Manner."

How is your "bedside manner?"

As Realtors we are privileged to help people in their quest for a new place to live.

Young couples have the excitement in their eyes.  Experienced buyers are looking for a  larger home. Empty nesters are downsizing. More and more singles are buying their own place.

Some agents act like it's not a big deal.  I hope every person I work with knows how important I feel that they are.  When I am with a client, I try never to talk on my cell phone, unless it is about their deal or homes they are seeing or negotiating.  I try to explain things carefully and be completely honest so they know what to expect and the sequence of events leading to the closing.

A real estate transaction is the biggest deal that happens in most people's lives, my aim is to have a very client centered mentality.  The deal is not about me nor about the other agent I may be negotiating with.   If I need to bend over backward to get the sale for my client I will.

If I need to deal with an agent that I don't like or a situation that isn't ideal, if it is in the best interest of my client I will.

Buying a home is such an emotional experience.  It is really important to be empathetic to the buyers and sellers

All the best!

Kevin

I like the analogy to doctors.  To experts problems might be routine but to each individual patient or client it may feel like life and death.  Its good to keep that in mind.

Kevin,

You know that you have a good "Bedside Manner" when they send you referrals.  The pay back is tremendous.
