Later this month, my family & I have the opportunity to travel to Montreal from either Vermont or New Hampshire.  We've never been to Canada & so are excited & curious.  Since we'll be there a few days, are there any places considered 'must sees' ?  I'm thinking of taking in the Botanical Gardens, downtown, the old city.  Are those areas/places too ambitious for the time?  Is getting around by Metro easy enough?  Is Metro better or worse than auto?  Montreal looks beautiful & admittedly we're just getting started. Thanks active rainers!

Dalia, you'll no doubt have a wonderful trip to Montreal.  I went there for my honeymoon 7 years ago and have been there 6 or 7 other times when I was much younger.  Feel free to e-mail me privately for additional information.  The Metro system there is easy and terrific!

Dalia.....    Canada is absolutely gorgeous and what a time of year to travel.  It has a European flare.  Enjoy!
