Sounds wonderful... the all american neighborhood.
Cindy, I know what you mean about these lemonade stands. I've stopped my car in neighborhoods and always buy the stuff from the kids on hot days. They work so hard. It is like stepping back in time.
Hi Cindy...You picked a beautiful area of Northern Virginia to feature in this post. You should have excellent luck selling homes in South Run.
Kate
Shirlley-Fortunately in our area we have a number of these "older" neighborhoods that remind me of the one I grew up in.
Gary-I love to buy lemonade, girl scout cookies or anything that neighborhood children are selling. You are right it is like stepping back in time and always reminds me of how my neighbors supported my entriprises when I was a kid :-)
Kate-You can't go wrong with Fairfax Station and the South Run neighborhood.
This is gorgeous! Did Norman Rockwell paint these pictures! I would love to live in an area as beautiful as this!
Rich-no it is a real neighborhood with great community spirit. Such a refreshing change over so many commuter neighborhoods where no one ever gets to know their neighbor.
Cindy - Thank you for blogging about such a nice neighborhood. Your post is now featured.
