This year has been tough on the Colorado river lovers.  The snow melt has been heavy in just about every area of Western Colorado and has in some way affected the fishing.  Even though it has been frustrating to not be wading in the water, the long term clean out of the fisheries is crucial and will improve fish habitat for all fisheries.

There are plenty of alternatives for the active fly fisherman in Colorado.  Pond and Lake fishing can't be better in the months of June and July.  This should ease your mind and keep your shoulder in proper training.  These months have some incredible dry fly action.  Concentrate on the banks and inlets of these sometimes large bodies of water and you won't be denied a when a great presentation is at place.

Let me know some of your success stores on Lakes/Ponds in Colorado.
