Kittens in need of rescue....

png Every once in a while I get a very sad email about an overload in the shelters. I got such a letter today from friend of mine involved in rescuing animals in Westchester. She asked for me to pass it, which I have and I am also posting this.

Apparently there is such an overload that the clock is ticking on 60 kittens of varying ages - from about three weeks to several months of age.

I'm posting the information - along with a few shots of the kittens in question. Perhaps people within the AR community or among my local readers might know of someone who is looking for a kitten to adopt.

Oh my , these are adorably cute fellows. Hope they all find wonderful good homes.

So do I...its so sad that they might have to be euthanized.

I hope that your efforts help these beautiful creatures. I am a sucker for cats....have five of my own. The last three were a rescue at about six month old.

Hi Chris Ann - I you know anyone - ANYWHERE who wants a kitten - send them here.

Ruthmarie.. This is heartbreaking... There are so many kittens at our local shelter too. Our office has 20 cats roaming around. We know we shouldn't feed them, but at the same point, we don't want them to die. The shelter has tooooo many already. We figure we are doing better for them, then they could right now.

I hope these kittens in your area get homes.

Ruthmarie, this is so sad, I can't believe in this day and age we haven't come up with a better solution to making sure pets are spayed or neutered. I hope these cuties find a home.
