As mentioned in the article below and an earlier blog post, the time has come for the end of "spot reassessments" throughout the state. Thomas J. Nickels, Solicitor of the Blue Mountain School District, explains how the reassessments were done throughout the county.

"However, they have chosen to meet the demands of the realtors who earn their living making these sales and consider this process an impediment to achieving their goal. Alleged public outrage at (state) Rep. (Tim) Seip’s (D-125) hearing at Penn State University was engendered by the voices of realtors who appeared to testify." We're working on a rebuttal to this story--which was not well researched. They didn't even ask Seip for a response. School districts are pretty annoyed, it seems. Look for a rebuttal early next week from Seip's camp.
