Do you let the stress of everyday life bring you down?  Are you worried about what's going to happen next?  Not me, as a matter of fact, I'm packing up my gas-guzzling Land Rover and heading to Disneyland.

Yes, I admit it - I'm part of the United States' problem, one of the people who took everything for granted and abused the planet's resources.

Like many, I'm guilty of:

  • Purchasing property at the height of the market in Las Vegas (more commonly reported as real estate hell by the media).
  • Not realizing that my homes (one primary, one investment) would quickly become more upside down than a Cirque du Soleil trapeze artist on the Las Vegas Strip.
  • Buying a climate-destroying SUV.  I know, I should have bought a Prius like Leo.

Among many other things, I've learned:

  • To live each day to the fullest - you never know what's going to happen next.
  • To live below my means and to better value the earth's resources.
  • That my freedom as an American is something that should never be taken for granted.

The Happiest Place on Earth

Disneyland

"To all who come to this happy place: welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past...and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams and the hard facts which have created America...with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world."

Walt Disney - July 17, 1955

Ignore the bad - Live in the Good

  • If the United States bombs Iran and gas rises to $10 a gallon - Don't call me.
  • If Fannie and Freddie's stocks tumble further - Don't email me.
  • If the real estate market crashes even further - I don't care.

Because I'm at the Happiest Place on Earth - not just physically - most importantly, mentally.

Let the magic into your life.  See how it feels, and then go spread the word!

Hi Aaron:

Thanks for saying "no thanks" to the negativity so very prevalent today in our society.  I posted on my blog tonight about kidney stones and the treatment early this morning.  I was feeling pretty lousy, but heard about the person next to me who had congestive heart failure and pnuemonia: you think you got it bad until you see the other person's perspective.

Your blogs quote: "Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams and the hard facts which have created America...with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world".   There are many things that are challenging right now, but people are still trying to come to America because we are a "source of joy and inspiration to all the world".  Things are tough right now, but America can, and will regain it's footing - it's what we do!

Being a go-to source for the national press has its perks. Sure, it's fun to shoot the breeze with reporters from CNBC, ABC News, CBS News, and FOX News - the most important part, however, is being consistently recognized as a leader in the Las Vegas luxury real estate market. "The media just seems to love what I do," says Auxier. "I've mixed show business with real estate. It's very exciting."
