Even Realtors need to take a break now and then.  So recently my son asked me to go blueberry picking.  This is something I have done for years with my family.  So we got in the car and headed to one of the nearby farms.

Greig Farm has long been a favorite day trip destination for those in the NYC area. Adjacent to the farm are the Gigi Market, Allison Vinyards and Grandiflora Nursery. Check the picking schedule below for what is in season now.

If you picked berries last year try and find your bucket and bring it with you. This will save you $2.00

Jennifer, nice photos, especially the closeup of the blueberries.  The blueberries in PA seem to be at their peak now, too.

We have blueberries around my county too. Love them. They are less popular than the strawberries and the raspberries, but I sure like them.

Hi Jennifer,
Wow, those beautiful blueberries would have been great on my cereal this morning.  My Grannie has blueberrie bushes and we try to pick enough to freeze and have throughout the year but we never get enough.

Great job with the video and I agree with Gary, hearing your voice was great...makes me feel like I really know you.

I agree with Gary. Very nice voice and we need to see you in front of the camera. But you did a good job playing Steven Spielberg/Spike Lee in this blog-LOL. Great post.

Jennifer, I picked up blueberries yesterday at Ann Arbor farmers market. They are  really sweet, and I'm making blueberry pancakes this morning. Just thought you'd want to know....

Brian - I think it is a good year for blueberries and for other fruits and vegetables. Steven - We also have the others fruits but I have more fun picking blueberries. Gary - One of these days I will make it to the other side. I love taking pictures of everything but I don't like having my picture taken.

Jennifer that is great! I would love to take my oldest up there and do some blue berry picking with him since it has become one of his new favorite fruits. Fifteen years too! Isn't it amazing what activities can become so part of our family heritage. I can't wait to hear about you taking grandchildren! (Not that I am rushing that for you!)
