Myrtle Beach Homes Sold in June 2008

Of the 6,669 homes currently available for sale, 339 have actually been sold during the month of June.  Hooray!  Over 5% of our listings have been sold during June (that's 5.08% to be exact).  Can other parts of the country make that claim?

At this rate, we'll be all sold out of our inventory by March of 2010!!!

The cheapest home sold in June went for $20,000.  It was a 2BR/2BA mobile home on leased land, located at Crystal Lakes in Myrtle Beach.  Originally priced at $ 25,900, it was on the market for a mere 133 days.   That was F A S T ...

The most expensive home sold in June went for $ 2,960,000.  It was a brand new 4BR/4BA/2 half baths, with a four car garage, spanning 6,000 sq. ft. of space.  The location:  primo...  The Grande Dunes, THE address to have in Myrtle Beach.

What are the most popular price points in Myrtle Beach (for sold properties, not fantasy pricing properties...)?

Here are the price breaks and the number of homes sold at those prices:

Price range:                                       Number of Homes sold:

$0                    -           $99,999                       32

$100,000         -           $199,999                     127

$200,000         -           $299,999                     95

$300,000         -           $399,999                     52

$400,000         -           $499,999                     15

$500,000         -           $599,999                     5

$600,000         -           $699,999                     2

$700,000         -           $799,999                     1

$800,000         -           $899,999                     3

$900,000         -           $999,999                     3

$1MIL            -           $1,999MIL                 2

$2MIL            -           $2,999MIL                 2

As you can see, the most popular price point for homes in the Myrtle Beach area is the $100,000 to $ 200,000 range, followed by the $ 200,000 to $ 300,000 range as a fairly close second, and the $300,000 to $400,000 third in line.

If you can manage to sell your 1,200 sq. ft. 50 year old ranch in San Francisco, you too can buy that lovely Mansion at the Grande Dunes...

Don't hesitate:  Relocate!

I would want to read something like this if I was thinking of buying in the area.   Thanks Mirela for a great job!

Hi Mirela,

It sounds like it's time to celebrate.  I don't know what your market is normally like, but 339 transactions seems like an exceptionally strong month!

By the way, Not yet Licensed:  You could still have a membership right here on AR.  It would be easier to comment.

Hi Mirela,

I know.  People keep reminding me of that.  Here's my situation.  I'm an old guy middle-aged guy who is slow to adapt to new technology.  AR is still a bit of a challenge for me.  I will eventually get registered but, when I do, I want to do it right.

Not Yet Licensed:  If you call me tomorrow I will walk you through it.  Trust me: we'll only be on the phone for about 5 minutes and you'll be all registered.  Just have your computer up and running and call me.  Really!  I mean it!

Thanks Mirela,

I really appreciate your kind offer.  However, when I said I'm "slow to adapt to new technology" what I really meant was SLOOOOOOOW.  :)  No worries.  I may be slow, but I'm also very persistent.  I promise you that I will be registered before the end of this year!
