Aeronautical Lifestyle Information for the Upscale Exclusive Aero Club of Wellington Florida.
There are 284 custom built homes in the Areo Club community built on at least one acre lots. Many of the homes are on the taxi way. The homes have a minimum of 3000 square feet under air and up to 8000 square feet of living space. Here in Florida we consider living space the air conditioned part of the home. Garages, hangers, porches and patios are not included in the living area measurements.
If you are looking to live in an Aeronautical community in South Florida, the Aero Club in Wellington Florida is just 14 miles from Palm Beach Florida. You can be at the beach in a jiffy and back home to fly out in the morning to a trip to Miami or to Disneyworld.
There is a 4,000 foot irrigated runway that is turfed and lighted and is 110 feet wide. The blue lights at night are so beautiful and soothing to watch. We love driving by and just stopping to observe the true beauty of the runway and the surrounding homes. The identifier is FD38 and it is a private airport for single engine planes.
The homes that are along the taxiway are listed with a premium and so are the hangers depending on the condition. This is a very new community with most homes having been built in the late 90's to the early 2000's. There are people living here who are pilots and love to fly and there are people living here that just enjoy the acre of land and the customization of each home. Currently there are 22 homes on the market ranging in price from $800,000 to over $3,000,000.
I was reading my friend's blog, Jo Soss, who lives in Bremerton Washington. She took a video as she was driving around her town with her flip video. I was actually quite impressed that it was not that shaky from the driving. So I decided to give it a try. I took some video of the Aero Club of Wellington and posted it below. I will go back when there are planes taking off from the runway or landing next time. So hang on to your seats! We are checking in for flight status!

Makes me wish I knew how to fly...I once completed flight ground school, but never got to solo for my license!!! Nice post! Nice flip video!!! Thanks, Fran
Teri- I will watch you:) It is a gorgeous community. The video was a bit bumpy. I will work on driving and using video at the same time.
Fran- Thanks for commenting Fran! Nestor wants to get his pilot license. I am enjoying being the spectator:) I love watching these small planes take off and land. It is so pretty here too. I am working on my video skills! Just a novice right now.
Hi Katerina....Looks like a dream place, imagine having your own Lear Jet parked at your Front Door. I understand John Travolta lives there...do you know him. I'm sure he has heard of you guys!
Finally I see you using your new flip phone, are you getting lots of use out of it. A marketing person here suggested I do many short shows about Victoria. Hopefully I will not be shaking when I try.
Fred- The Flip video camera is awesome! I just love it. I use it all the time. Especially for fast things. I still use my Sony Handycam video camera for most family videos that I want to keep for a long time and not on my computer. My flip only holds 30 minutes at a time. My sony is a dvd camera so I just stick the DVD in it and take the video. Then finalize and watch in on our dvd player through our tv. But I won't use it for Real estate stuff because I don't have the time to do all the editing etc. Witht the flip and Active Rain video formatting program we can just drop and go.
Georgina- I am going to get there when the planes are taking off and landing on a clear day, I think that would make for a good video. Thanks for reading.

Katerina, now would THIS be the lifestyle? How cool would it be to have your own plane. I'd love to know how to fly....;-)
