SPRING MARKET IS EARLY THIS YEAR

The weather can't decide what it wants to do today.  We have had rain, snow, sleet and freezing rain in the last 6 hours in S.E.CT.

Meanwhile it appears that the spring market is here already.  Every loan application completed this week was for the purchase of a home.  No refinance transactions at all.  This is rare for me.  Each week there is usually at least one refinance transaction.  This is a good sign for the spring and summer markets.  The mix of business has been good also.  First time homebuyers along with people selling and moving on to another home.

Rates have stayed steady, employment is strong and prices are not skyrocketing.  All of th ingredients needed to bring together a good year.

Lots of Pfizer buyers in the market place!   Hopefully it is going to be a much better spring than in 2006!

The market in the Memphis, TN area has been good this year as well.  Houses are flying off the market.  I do have too say it is homes priced at $150,000 and below.  I know our market id different here, but for $150,000 one can buy a great first time home. 

I just hope it doesn't quit!  I like to be busy! Busy means money!

Our Denver market is springing early this year as well! Because of our heavy snows December through the end of April, the market was incredibly slow.  All of the folks that typically move during those months waited until March and boom!

The southern california market acts as if it is snowing every day unfortunately
