I'm becoming an Active Rain addict and recently found the AR groups for the San Diego area . As a former resident of 16 years in Lemon Grove, I'm missing the beach most of all this summer. The beaches here in North Carolina are nice, but there's not enough to do there. And it's a 2 hour drive just to get to Wilmington!
As a Realtor in the Raleigh/ Cary North Carolina area, I'm meeting a great many newcomers from San Diego and California. In North Carolina we don't have license plates on the front of our cars, so people keep their plates on the front from their former states. One trip to the mall will find at least 10- 20 cars with the California plates on them! It's a great way to start a conversation with someone.
Although I miss the beach and Sea World, etc. I don't miss the price of housing. When we have relocation clients from California, they are thrilled at what type of housing they can get in this area in comparison to California.

If you're trying t
o decide on an area to move to, or have clients who are thinking of moving to North Carolina, feel free to give me a call or email me. Who better to know how housing, traffic, weather, and life compares to in San Diego versus what to expect in North Carolina.
