Want to live near shops and restaurants? Want to be in a Loudoun County neighborhood that's close to the schools your children will be attending? Then check out Walk Score. Just go to the site, type in a street address and it'll spit out a ranking based on how close ammenities are located.
Walk Score also lists (by name) the closest grocery store, restaurant, coffee shop (probably Starbuck's), school, park, etc. And next to the name of the grocery store, restaurant, etc., it shows the exact mileage to it - down to the 100th of a mile.
In addition, Walk Score shows all of the ammenities on a Google map so you can see how to get to each of them, as well as get a better visual feel for things.
