-HomeSo I was tabling at the Tally Moms event last night in Tallahassee, and I got to meet a lot of great folks and some really cool local businesses. One business in particular that my wife was excited about (and wanted me to write about) was a local diaper service that was providing all-natural diaper service to your front door! Cool!!!

Here's the description from the DoodleBug website:

" Doodle Bug Diaper Service uses environmentally safe and comfy, 100% cotton diapers. We offer weekly pickup & delivery complete with a diaper pail and deodorizing powder. Your child’s health and safety is important to us. That’s why we use a multi-step all natural sanitary wash process.

If you decide to give your baby the health and comfort of cotton, using our diaper service will make cotton diapering easy…no rinsing, no pins and a steady supply of freshly laundered diapers at your door. The cost is no more than disposables, and your baby will typically toilet-train sooner! "

Alex - good for you!  People have become soooo used to disposables.  If they made one trip to the local landfill, and saw all the diapers that end up there and take FOREVER to degrade, Maybe, maybe they would go back to cotton diapers again.  Thanks for a great blog and keep up the great work!

Thanks Eva,

We started our fist born off with cloth right from the get go and found it be easier than disposable in many ways - and definitely cheaper! When we drove to Central America with Gavin, we decked him out in G-Diapers. Cloth diapers with biodegradable inserts! These worked great! I'm sure that if most folks knew how easy it was to use these products we could end up saving a HUGE amount of waste from going into our landfills. Thanks for your comment!

Everything old is new again!  That would be a great gift for some new parents.

Wow that service sounds great - we don't have many services like that in area - heck we just got curbside recycling last year.

We don't have a service like that here, either.  I'm sure it would be a huge blessing for many parents.
