Went to a garden party....hum along.     Music

They Seedums Garden Club in Cheboygan Michigan sponsored a "Garden Walk" July 10, 2008. This year they showcased six homeowners private gardens; they ranged from sun to shade, land to water, small to large and serene to whimsical.

The Seedums Garden Club was Chartered in 1972 and is a member of the National, Central Region and Michigan Garden Clubs, Inc. The members maintain eight civic gardens and sponsor the beautiful downtown flowering hanging baskets.

Even though the day was overcast, I enjoyed my walk through the gardens, they were absolutely beautiful and amazing to me. as the homeowners maintain their own gardens and do not hire professionals. Whew! I wish I had the stamina to have a garden like these.

I took my trusty camera and had so much fun playing photographer again in these beautiful gardens.

I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I did taking them.

Jacqueline, I look at these photos, have to take another breath and say, "where's the gardner...where's the maid?" I would be looking for quite some time. BTW, I love your new background! Lovely photos!

Beautiful Jaqueline! I love smoke trees most when their leaves change colors - even before the "Puffs" open (which really adds some interest. Have given plenty of starts away from ours.
I was just out doing yard work yesterday and after bending so much - my thighs are a bit sore in places I forget exiisted :) but it's so refreshing to get outside. Thanks for sharing these fabulous photos!!!!

Cheers!

Mike, Thanks for reading. The gardens were so lovely and wonderful places, God touched them all.

Frank, I loved Ricky Nelson and that was a great song. Have a wonderful weekend too.

Deb, I know I don't have enough energy for all the gardens these women have, it was just amazing.

Teresa, I'm with you, the bending and riaing and bending and rising just kills my legs. But what a way to relieve stress....working in a garden.
