How is the market in your area?

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Real EstateGroup.com

The Market in The Des Moines Metro market is changing all the time up and down but, not large changes.  In some neighborhoods the market is slower to sell a home and others is not.  One thing thing that seems to be true is the National market seems more grim than our market.  I am still keeping busy showing homes and listing some too.  How is your Market?

This is my own professional opinion from my recent experience in The Market.

I would be interested in your feed back.

I can't say.  I'm too busy to look.  Really, with my listings and the service I give to my clients, I'm just too busy.

Peggy, Our waterfront properties are doing quite well. What we are noticing is several million dollar+ homes

selling this year. Amazing. Our residential market is slower but buyers are looking.

Peggy, I believe Tom Hopkins says that it is Unbelievable.  Whether it is up or down, it is unbelievable.  Seriously the lower priced homes are selling and the upper end homes are selling at the same rate that they always have.  The executive or move up homes are not selling as well as they have in the past.  Lots and acreage are really slow right now.

Thank everyone for the responses.  These are coming from all areas.  Why is the media playing it up to be so grim when obviously there are many places that are doing well.  Thanks everyone for youi replies and keep sending them in even if they aren't positive but, I love hearing the postive reports .  make it an Awesome day!
