Quick Note: Your link to your Localism Posts

By
Real Estate Agent with Liberty Homes RS-#62825

Just a quick note:

Your posts that were recently written should be up on Localism.

THEY DID NOT DISAPPEAR! They may have weeded some out that did not pertain to Localism but all you wonderful Localism writers...be rest assured...they're either up or getting up there.

To check it out type in www.localism.com/agents/cheesemanhomes  ....except put in your own user name as you have it on AR. Another example:  www.localism.com/agents/proven123 is Carole's. Don't be like I was yesterday morning....find out before breaking down. :)

P.S. And I thought about this (talked about this)  with Jason Sardi today on the phone.....people don't type in Localism.com or ActiveRain.com and find me.... my posts, my keywords, titles and tags are what they type in google search. And guess what? All my stuff from here, my website and outside blogs come up too!

Have a good weekend!

Jason Sardi's Birthday is July 17th :)

Hey Sally,  Thanks for pointing this out.  I thought I would have to repost quite a few.  That's a relief and there are actually some on there that I would have expected them to remove.  Quite pleased...unless they are not all approved.

Gita: Oh...but the life of a blogger looking for their posts :)

Carole: Didn't want ya all tripping like I did :)  They'll still be on your page...and still be out there in cyberspace....consumers don't type in localism and look for our posts...they type in a search and there we are....:)

Steph: I wondered for a whole day if I should post this....too many people can't find their posts just by going to localism.

I suppose the dashboards will be left for ...who knows.

Well that's a big relief!  I'm still having a hard time crafting my posts to work right in all the different places now.  It seems big pictures aren't happening anymore.  Oh well.

Hello to All and our Dear Sally,

If you search and follow Sally's guidelines you should find your Localism posts. What I and I'm sure many of you members are having problems with is not finding our posts on our Localism Neighborhood page.

At first I was devastated, but I trust our AR dudes and know they are working really hard to fix the issue. After all, our new Localism was born just a few days ago, give it some time and let it mature.

Sally,

thanks for shedding some light on all of this. I did google my localism page after you let me know how to find it and I really like what they've done in that regard.
I haven't had much time to explore the new localism and am still fuzzy on many issues, however it's caring folks like you who are easing this transition along and making it less daunting....thanks so much!

Jo

People never find me directly through AR or localism because they don't even know about it. Most people don't even fathom what the name means or how they relate...when you tell someone the word Activerain or localism they look at me like ok so what is it?

Anyone who has or had contact me was either through my website or through the search engines.

Sure....when they click on one of the links they probably will open up a post from localism or AR but never by typing in my name unless they know me. Everything is through the search engines. I did have a problem yesterday checking a post I put up and couldn't find it through localism but I was doing a direct search for that post. I wish people would just stop it already and let them fine tune it before jumping to conclusions. If they really need to pay to be on top then they might as well just find any company and pay them. They won't keep up anyway...it's just a crutch in my opinion.

Mana: Whatever the case may be....I think I could say it no better than Neal's comment below....

Jo: That's all...I wanted to do....help to ease the frustrated members get a feel for what is going on....and accept that change is inevitable in life....let alone a network...and patience to see what's going on before jumping.

Neal: As I told Mana...I could have said it no better than your explanation here. I think some may just have blinders on and don't want to see past what is there..or not there.

Kat: You just keep doing your thing Kat...they find you for you.

Hi Sally,

thank you for the post and update! With so many changes here in the Rain I feel like I am running and slipping on wet tile. One step forward and three back.

Have a great weekend.

Sally I took a quick look at mine and I like the new layout.  I will have to go back and play with it a little bit.

How do you change the name in localism. I'll be back to see if you can tell me. I hadn't noticed that.

Sally,

The localism page looks very nice. Do you think it would be good to add an RSS feed, so people could subscribe to it?

It may be that AR thinks the public should only subscribe to the Outside Blog and not the member Localism blog.

What about an RSS subscription feature to a city or to a neighborhood localism page?

It will be interesting to see how this AR Localism screening for QC and appropriateness works in practice.

I am still trying to catch up with the new localism. When we post and select consumers, doesn't the post automatically get posted to localism?

Thanks for the info.
