A Life of Extraordinary Favor With God

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.

Have you ever met a group of people so extraordinary that you find yourself thanking God that the Lord brought you together? I have.

Active Rain has been quite a treat for me. It has managed to do the one thing living in a brick and mortar world can not. It has given me a lovely on-line family from around the globe. They remind me of the Christians in the Book of Acts, for they are constantly in a state of flux regarding who they are now and who they wish to be. They are bold enough to ask God for the world, even though they are tired, hungry, occasionally poor, and things in life don't pan out neatly. They check in every single day and joke about their AR addictions, but truth be known, it is not AR that brings them here, it is their connection to other people. It's the relationships that replace the networking.

I have received quite a few emails today and was surprised how one particular question kept surfacing so I decided to blog about it and publish the answers: It's our relationships that define us at Club Chaos, so my word of advice for newbies is: Do not casually asociate with people, but select your associations wisely. Know the writings, names and faces of those you choose to associate with. Don't click links or blog for points. Associate and write because you wish to...

BTW, the pictures posted are for my good friend Susan Mangigian. I promised her I'd smile more online... :-)

Hey Gary, that would definitely be Melody Botting's doing and I am so glad she introduced me to your writings. She made at least two, possibly three comments in the open forum pointing me in your direction. Oh my word, what a treat to read your blog! Thank you for accepting the invitation! I'm very proud to be associated with you.

Hey Don, thank you kindly, and I do manage to smile a bit when I'm not rolling on the floor laughing at Club Chaos! I have to confess, you make me smile a lot you know. I do so enjoy when you pop in to play and throwing Leesa a virtual party was great fun! Enjoy your day, sweetie. Love, C.

C - thanks for sharing the pictures and the advice. I have already picked the groups and people whom I frequent. I add a few here and there. I like your smile, but with 3 good looking guys in your life, and the big family, I can see why you do.

Hmm... Susan, I like my Riker's Island face, I practiced that serious look for hours in the mirror before I perfected it. (ROTFL). Okay, okay... I did say I'd do anything for you, so I will consider taking a new picture (one day soon) and I promise to smile this time as well... seriously. I just like the one I have because my six year old took it and I use it on my business cards, fliers, websites, etc. If I do decide to switch photographs at AR, it will actually be the first time I've deviated from my brand. Everyone knows that photograph. I'm the Adams Family Realtor standing in front of the $3K painting who doesn't smile in her picture. Almost everyone is smiling in their pictures, which is another reason why that one stands out. To change now would actually split my marketing strategy. However, I will consider it, just for you. Maybe we can compromise and I'll periodically post smiley pics with my kids as a tag line inside the blogs. It will be like Twitter pictures where you'll actually see what we're doing. Hmm... that might be fun.  :-)

BTW, thank you for your kind words about my hubby, he is such a hottie and has quite a sense of humor. After all, he married me (LOL). We have been hanging out since April 28, 1989 and got married Feb 1995.  Cool!

Hey Mikey-Mike, every day is a grand adventure when you live with three men. The family is a treasure and a hoot. Life is good! ;-)

Carolyn,  don't change your brand.  I didn't realize it had a story to it.  I'd love to hear your entire story... Riker's Island??  Yikes!  I live with 3 men too, one husband and two gorgeous boys.  Usually have one or two strays here, friends of my sons.  I have a female cat that is somewhat gender conflicted so I am hoping to get a girl puppy this week.  First dog of my life!  Take care!

Hi C - Great post! I agree AR can be like a different world when you are logged in.  There are some great people here on the Rain.  It's nice to know that even if you fall off for a bit the Rain will be here when you get back, just like family!

Carolyn - I have enjoyed getting to know my "virtual family" here over the past year.  It really is amazing to see some of the friendships that I have developed.  I think your analogy is an apt one.  By the way, I like the idea of seeing you smile, too!

Hey Jason, thank you! I'm looking forward to seeing your smile up close and personal. We plan on zipping over to TX and meeting with you, Mel, Amanda and a host of others from AR. The minions will be very pleased. They love Mexican food and road trips (so do I).
