The residents of the Cobblestone subdivision seem to have it all....location, beautiful surroundings, convenient access to modern amenities and custom-built homes of quality.   The residents of Cobblestone attend the District 96 schools. (Country Meadows Elementary, and Woodlawn Junior High).  It is the only neighborhood in Long Grove's District 96 that the children can walk to their Elementary and Junior High School.  The High School that residents who live in this subdivision  attend is Stevenson High School District 125

Long Grove, Illinois  "The Village with the charm of  yesteryear" is how Long Grove is described.   More than 100 retail businesses consisting of antique shops, specialty shops, restaurants housed in  Victorian-era houses and barns are clustered around the intersection of Old McHenry Road and Robert Coffin Road. The Village strives to preserve its pristine rural charm as it retains large open spaces and extensive natural groves of trees.


In the town of Long Grove, you will find quaint shopping, great restaurants and unbelievable and unique boutiques.  Just a few miles away, you can find other fine shopping in Deer Park or Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills.  Long Grove residents are served by the Long Grove, Lake Zurich and Buffalo Grove Park District which has a long menu of events and activities for children, adults, and seniors.

Grade School children living in Long Grove attend kindergarten at Willow Grove Elementary School in Buffalo Grove, first through 5th grades at Kildeer Countryside Elementary School or Country Woodlawn Junior High, Long GroveMeadow Elementary School in  Long Grove and 6th through 8th grade at Woodlawn Middle School in Long Grove.(District 96 )  A smaller percentage  of children living in Long Grove attend either Diamond Oak for elementary school and West Oak Junior High(District 79)or  the Fremont Schools.

 

Long Grove is conveniently located only 10 minutes from I-94, 12 minutes from I-90, and 5 minutes east of Rt. 53. Chicago is 30 miles away, while O´Hare Airport is also a 30-minute ride. Commuters can catch the Metra train at the Prairie View train station, Buffalo Grove or in downtown Palatine

Judy, in this subdivision I think being able to walk to the elementary and junior high schools is a huge plus for the students and the parents. A great overview for Long Grove.
