My website crashed! netreal.net fails again!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Turn-Key Properties LLC, Missouri and Kansas Real Estate

once again, my site is down, www.netreal.net www.turnkeyproperties.org and www.turnkeyproperties.netreal.net are all dead. I am losing customers and money while these yahoos are jerking around.

OMG, I wish I had my site on my own server, from nearly 200 hits a day I have dropped like a rock, my clients cant access any information and I cant even upload new listing information.

I wouldn't be so angry if the losers at www.netreal.net would actually answer a freaking email. They refuse to even respond to a simple request for information.

I hate to move my account because I fear that all of the hundreds of hours I have in my site will be lost and I will have to start over again.

At least my blogs are up. I have a new one at http://www.kccrime.blogspot.com/ this one is getting some attention lately. Check it out. http://www.kccrime.blogspot.com/

Ben, you said they crashed again- how often does it happen? I'm considering moving my website off of its' current host. NetReal seems a bargain at $15 a month (according to Florida Realtor Magazine) but of course if the site has lots of down time and awful customer service, even that's steep.. Please bottom line it for me- based on your experience- would you sign up with them again or go somewhere else? Thanks much!

Netreal has less than good service and response time.

We paid for a custom page which they never completed. Eventually, the credit card folks reimbursed us for the payment.

No one from netreal ever contacted us to ask what we wanted on the page. When we sent in the photos and the other info, we received what seemed to be autoresponse emails back.

Not happy with them at all.

Netreal.net is usually down on saturdays for an hour or two. I understand they have maintenance to do, but this latest failure has lasted two days! this happened once before, they called it a denial of service error! Well, I'm sure being denied service!

This is pretty sad, they have been down for two days! I'm sure it will be up again, I think the last time it was about three days.

Netreal.net almost never responds to email, I have asked them hundreds of times for info or help on a subject. I may get a response to one out of every 25-30 emails I send them.

Netreal sucks for service!

Well..Here's a good one!  I have the newsletter service which FINALLY came back up this morning - I raced through and got the content ready - sent the newsletter and not one person on the list, including ME has received it!  Shows that it went - but it's anybody's guess as to where it is!!

From your comments - I probably wasted my time emailing....but I would like to know if they can reset my system where it can be sent again - I'm only allowed one send a week and it looks like I blew it!

BIG QUESTION.......can anybody recommend another company with a good online newsletter?  I'm going to be coming up for renewal soon and I would really like to have some options!  Please let me know!

If this happens on a regular basis like it sounds like it is, I would move it and move it fast. Keep the sites up while you transfer the data and then transfer the domain names once all the information is ready for the switch. You will lose no time and you won't have to worry about crashes any more.

Well; I've had it, i am going to move my site to another service provider. NETREAL.NET Sucks!

I have beeged, I have pleaded, I have filled out service ticket after service ticket, I have emailed the CEO of netreal.net; he is on Linkedin.com as  catalin@tree.ro . I have yet to hear from anyone!

Yes, you are right Terry, Adrienne and Alex, Netreal.net has horrible customer service and they never respond to request for information.

I suggess that nobody should consider using netreal.net if they want any kind of service.

I say, next time you get a chance, or go do the google snap shot and copy and paste each page to onto word and save it.

Then change companies, they are not reliable and don't answer when you need them. I've been coping my pages to word from the google snap shot on the rank bar. I have a ton of info and have also lost clients.

If they come up again, get your stuff asap and get out before they go down for good. Lets hope they snap out of this one.

Is the site down again, bc mine isn't showing anymore...probably so.

I spent too much time making my site, so it better be up...especially w/ links that i have over the interenet that aren't going to lead to anything and possibly loose a lead.

Adrienne, here is my latest blog about this mess, I am leaving netreal.net they simply will not respond to my requests for information, they refuse to respond to trouble tickets, they have no customer service. netreal.net sucks!

If I were you I would start planning your exit from that provider, After 5 years, I just can't take it anymore, I have hundreds, maybe thousands of hours in my site, but if you have no support and no customer service what the hell are you paying for.

My site is still down, and they haven't even sent me a note on the reason or the expected time frame for recovery. I am looking at www.agent.point2.com for my next website provider.

They have a few drawbacks, I cannot use Google Analytics and some other tools I use, but if I have a problem I can call an 800 number and get a response. Netreal.net will not even respond to emails or trouble tickets filled out on their system.

Get out now, before you have too much invested. You can copy and paste your pages to MS Word and re-post them on your new site.

Adrienne, you can also transfer your domain name to a new provider. You may lose some ranking but you will retain your links and customers. Your ranking will return in time.

Here's the latest on netreal.net. According to www.freewebmonitoring.com my site was down over the weekend.

Time: 2008-08-11 02:43:04 -0500
Time on Error: 09 hours 05 minutes 14 seconds

Time: 2008-08-10 10:26:01 -0500
Time on Error: 21 hours 13 minutes 37 seconds

Yes; in a 2 day period my site with www.netreal.net was offline for a total of 30 hours 18 minutes and 51 seconds.

So in a 48 hour period my site was only up for about 18 hours!

As soon as I can finish building my new site on point2 I will be canceling my service with netreal.

Good luck transfering your domain name.  I do web design and my client has a web site with NetReal.  (She set it up before she came to me).  And for the last two months we have been trying to transfer her domain name to another registrar.  NetReal insists on having their email address as the admin contact with the domain name and they ignore all request to transfer it. Even though they have said they will approve it.

My whole experience with NetReal has been horrible, and as a professional in web development, it's embarrassing how poor their customer service is.

If anyone is thinking about using NetReal, I recommend you do not register a domain name with them.  Go to another registrar like Dotster.com and register it yourself.

Well, just so it gets more Google juice I will once again type the words "NETREAL.NET SUCKS"!

Do not use them if you are thinking about doing so!

If you type netleal.net and find this blog it should be enough. Just in case I should also type in "netreal.net reviews" Sol no one else gets sucked into the black hole of website provider hell!

So why after all this am I still with them?

Because I have amazing page ranking, I am too busy building other websites, and I really like the product even though they have absolutely no customer service.

My website http://www.turnkeyproperties.org gets about 200 new visitors a day on average. Why because I worked my ass off at it. It has nothing to do with NETREAL in fact, the fact that they have another mirror image site of mine at their web address is killing my rankings. You see my site is seen as duplicate content because netreal still keeps my original site with them up even though I have my own domain.

Once you learn a bit about SEO this will make sense to you.

So why did I not stay with Point2? well, I cannot post videos, I'm prohibited from tagging my photos with information like the name of my company or the name of my website, and they raised their rates.

So now i am working on several other sites www.palominoquarterhorses.com and www.batescountyrealestate.com .

Weebly.com offers some great templates, but they also have some limitations. I will keep on plodding away learning and doing. Between Weebly and Godaddy I have some pretty good, really inexpensive sites, but for now I'm stuck with netreal, as much as they SUCK!

How does FREEWEBMONITORING.COM even know this,.. maybe somehow they are hacking into our site and causing this problem so we may purchase or sign up to them.

I have changed hosting three times,.. works perfectly, then BOOM!!! here it is again!!!

Something strange is happening

Anthony,

Netreal has a great product! What they do not have is customer service.

For the price nobody can compete with Netreal's technology. I have had no real issues or downtime for a while.

freewebmonitoring is not monitoring netreal, they are monitoring my site which is hosted by netreal.

One of the biggest drawbacks to a neteral site is that after you create your own domain, they still have a mirror site hosted at the netreal address. So my site http://www.turnkeyproperties.org is also the same as turnkeyproperties.netreal.net which makes all of my content duplicate content, and my rankings suffer as a result.

I am now building several other websites, I would love to have additional netreal sites, but with the lack of customer service I am not inclined to use them again.
