When thinking of historic homes in Linn County, people frequently think of Albany Oregon's well visited historic district and historic neighborhoods which have been so lovingly restored.  Just a few miles away in Lebanon Oregon are historic gems waiting to be discovered!  While Lebanon has not been as progressive in their historic preservation program, here you can find incredible homes and neighborhoods at reasonable prices.  Lebanon formerly was a "mill" town, with their economy based on the timber/lumber industry.  With the newly announced medical school and conference center beginning construction in 2009, investors and homebuyers alike are taking notice of this lovely community.

Located just a few blocks from downtown Lebanon and the newly restored train station is such a neighborhood.  These homes were all built in the early 1900's and retain their original charm and integrity.  "Scroggins Mill" a former feed store located two blocks away is in the early stages of restoration and will contain shops and museum promising to add charm and ambiance to this area.

It IS a beautiful house!  The monochromatic color scheme a touch of trendiness to this historic home - VERY NICE!

Thank you so much visiting my post and your comments!  It IS an incredible home, and the price per square foot is so low (even without the cottage house)!  Here are some pictures of the "before" we staged.  Quite a difference when you have things staged in scale!  We used some owner pieces but wanted to stay away from too many vintage pieces to help buyers view themselves living here.  So many contemporary home owners are turning to historic homes because of their character, spaciousness and their solid construction.

How fun! The new owner will have so much to work with here - lots of windows, great flooring. I bet this one does not last long.

Thanks Debbie for viewing!  I love these beautiful windows also -- they have so much added detail which most buyers love.  Have a great week.
