Skagit County to experiment with bio-diesel for the Guemes Island Ferry

Skagit County to experiment with bio-diesel for the Guemes Island Ferry Skagit County received a $12,000 grant to test bio-diesel for the Guemes Island Ferry. Currently they are using a 5% mix for one of the engines, and hope that by November they will be up to 25% bio-diesel to 80% diesel. One more reason that Skagit County is a great place to live!
