Over the river and Through the Woods to Grandmother's house we went. A car load of beach paraphernalia and lawn chairs, guitars, amplifiers, hard cover books and sunscreen it all went over the Sagamore Bridge  to Cape Cod Massachusetts. After some fun in the sun what does a Realtor do on vacation he/she looks at the wonderful homes and New England Architecture. We do this on foot and don't bother agents at work just a Busman's Holiday- looking at houses while away from selling houses.

The Bottom Right 1743 Historic Registered House is Grandma's, the rest are all with in a block or two in the town of Yarmouthport on Cape Cod.

A Day at the Ocean, a good time was had by all especially if you are 15 and there is a snack bar close by (my son Conor, the day before drop off at Guitar Camp).

Back to reality or Realty which ever you prefer, appointments, return calls and emails to answer, but as I Said a good time was had by all. A new perspective gained, the homes I sell look very affordable after this little BUSMAN'S Holiday !!

Steve.. I'm laughing as I read your blog. What is that saying?   "GREAT MINDS THINK A LIKE".  The weekend that your wife has planned for you in CT.. is the time when I load up my two sons and head over the Sagamore Bridge to Sandwich on the Cape.

There is an annual "beach bash" the last Saturday in July that is held at Town Neck Beach.  I've been going for about 20 years... on Sunday, what do I do??? Go into town and check out the real estate.  See what homes are for sale and marvel at the architecture... yes, a true Realtor is always working.. and it always becomes a busman's holiday.

You are right.. the prices for homes there make, even what I have here in CT affordable.

Glad you had a GREAT time.... you and your family deserved it.

Valerie

Thanks Val, I hope you have as much fun as we just did, but way too short, I was really to take Conor to camp with a little pleasure mixed in. My two sisters are redheads and they burn so, I'm sure I don't need to tell you the breeze off the ocean makes it feel cool until you get home and you're burned. Steve
