St Patrick's Day Nor'Easter

By
Real Estate Agent with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty

Again it seems we have been hit by a St. Patrick's day Nor'Easter here in Hampstead, New Hampshire. I think going back 4 out of the last 6 years we have been hit with a major snowstorm in the middle of March. The only good thing about March snowstorms are they won't last. The snow will melt as the days get longer and the temperatures get warmer.

Our golf league starts April 4th this year. We head to Myrtle Beach March 27th and will return on or about the 3rd of April.

I hope to get in a couple of rounds of golf and some practice and Monika will just veg. on the beach.

It's always cold here too Jay, on Parade Day. One year we had a baton group from my school in the Parade and I have no idea why they did not freeze to the pavement LOL  Supposed to warm up Wednesday here, hope it travels East LOL

Carole, send the warmth up here PLEEEEZE...

I am sick and tired of the snow. Although we have been blessed this yr. with close to a record low total in snow accumulation.

Ines, you can have the snow come on up. It will be gone I hope in a couple of weeks because golf season starts.

Jay - this snow will be gone in a few days, based on the weather reports I saw earlier this evening.  This foot of snow was the yukky kind - heavy and wet, and with a crunchy top layer.  Took me awhile to shovel my walkways this morning, and I was sure wishing I'd started last night some time.

I'm headed to Florida first week in April, actually probably the same day you're coming home.  Warm climes, that's our reward for both our Valentine's Day and this St. Patty's Day snowstorms!

Hope you're warmed up by now!
Ann

Jay, we only got about 6" or 7" but it rained and hailed on top of it.  This morning everything was frozen and even the snow blower had a real hard time cutting through it.  I don't mind the snow, but this stuff is BAD!!!

Joan good question, I have no idea where the green is. I'm sure it's under the white stuff somewhere. It was 70 degrees just a few days ago. That's N.E. for you.

Kelly that would be a good idea considering this is not the first time we've been dumped on on St. Patty's day. Thanks for stopping by.

Ann I missed the forecast so I hope they are right. Have a great time in Florida  they have been having a great winter there too.

George, It's the March wet snow I hate too. So much moisture from the south it gets real heavy and hard to lift no matter what you use plow, shovel, or snowblower.

I am oh so ready for spring. Bring it on...

Thanks Jay

Jay- I'm usually ready for spring on January 2!  MB sounds great.  We're headed there in late April.  What courses do you recommend?

Jay,

We went for the first time last April but we did not play.  We were out looking at golf condos and ended up buying one pre-construction at Crow Creek in Calabash, NC, about 15 minutes north of MB.  They have a beautiful course.  There's several good seafood restaurants in Calabash as well.  I hear good things about The Legends courses and Barefoot Resort both in MB.  I expect a full report upon your return on par (sorry, I couldn't resist) with your terrific post on The Balsams.  Have fun!

I have had friends play the Legends and they loved it. We love seafood so maybe we will take a trip up there.

I'll do my best.

Thanks Jay
